University Grants Commission (UGC) has made it easier for students coming out of their school life to colleges and universities. Some new reforms have been introduced by the UGC in this regard. While taking up the issions, apart from the step by step process, there are certain things which the colleges and universities used to take up, like keeping the original certificates, thus leading to causing concerns for the students. 402a6y

Now, with the new UGC reforms, all those things have been cut down. Not only the college issions but with the new UGC reforms, there are a lot of things which the students can look up to in the education system. Scroll on to find more.

The new reforms which have been rolled by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the students seeking issions in the different courses need not give their original mark sheets, certificates or any other personal documents along with their ission form. The documents and certificates of the students can be physically verified but the same should be returned to the students once done. For record keeping, only the attested copies by any college or institution should be asked for.

Adding to this, UGC said that it is also not necessary for the candidates to buy the prospectus of the college or institution and the fee for the course either semester wise or yearly should be taken in advance only. In the case, a student wishes to withdraw his/her name from the course, a 4-tier system should be made use of for fee remittance. As per University Grants Commission, it should be noted that if the withdrawal from the course is done on any day before a period of 15 days which lies before the last date of the issions, the whole of the fees amounts except 10% of the aggregate in the name of the processing fees, shall be refunded to the student.

Additionally, it is must for the colleges and universities to constitute of a ‘Grievance Redressal Committee’ which works for the addressing as well as the effective solving of the received complaints. This has been mandated by the UGC Grievance Redressal Regulations, 2012.
